
On April 28, 2025 the Bangor City Council established the Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Committee via order 25-147. The nine (9) voting positions are as follows:
- City Councilor, who shall serve as Committee Chair (Councilor Sue Hawes)
- Individual with personal experience of substance use disorder
- Individual who has lost a partner, spouse, or loved one to an opioid overdose
- Professional with experience in the treatment of substance use disorder
- City of Bangor Police Department (Chief Mark Hathaway)
- Individual with experience providing recovery housing
- Individual with experience in prevention-focused youth programming
- Individual with experience in harm reduction
- City Manager or their designee (Carollynn Lear)

On May 28, 2025 the Bangor City Council appointed the following people to the Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Committee:
- Scott Knowles (Personal experience)
- Lisa Williams (Professional with experience in treatment)
- Shelly Yankowsky (Lost family member)
- Scott Pardy (Experience in providing recovery housing)
- Alison Small (Youth programming)
- Jayson Hunt (Harm reduction)
